"The violin is my voice," says 27-year-old Ben-Ari, whose latest project is her debut hip-hop CD entitled Miri Ben-Ari, the Hip-Hop Violinist. Although classically trained, the Israeli-born artist became fascinated with rap while living in New York and soon found herself writing, performing and producing for a host of hip-hop stars including Britney Spears, Kanye West, Jay-Z and Jennifer Lopez. Ben-Ari has wowed audiences across America. According to Kanye West, “Miri Ben-Ari is to hip-hop now what Miles Davis was to jazz back in the day. She’s reinventing a whole new hip-hop sound.”
