Gail Asper is the corporate secretary of CanWest Global Communications Corp., president of the CanWest Global Foundation, managing director of The Asper Foundation, and now prime mover behind the campaign to get The Canadian Museum of Human Rights up and functioning. She is the middle child of Ruth “Babs” Asper and communications mogul Israel “Izzy” Asper, who considered the impossible “an interesting challenge.” So, not surprisingly, Asper is out to do, if not the impossible, certainly the difficult.
