Steven Pomerantz has secured a unique niche in the lore of the Middle East. As Director of Counterterrorism for the Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA), he has helped develop a program that sends American law enforcement officials to Israel while bringing their Israeli counterparts here. The results have exceeded expectations already, for the interaction has fostered tremendous goodwill between the two countries. Pomerantz himself spent almost 30 years in law enforcement before JINSA, and finally, in the late 1990s, served as Chief in Charge of Counterterrorism at the FBI.
