Her charming manner and honesty have won over legions of fans making Nigella Lawson the best-selling author of numerous cookbooks including: Nigella Express, Nigella Bites and How to be a Domestic Goddess. Lawson, 47, whose looks are more often discussed in the press than her career, is also the host of her own cooking show. Her journey began at the computer screen, as a food writer for various magazines and newspapers in England. When her first book, How to Eat, was published it became an instant success, thrusting Lawson into the spotlight. As a self-taught cook, fans can relate to Lawson’s experience, or inexperience. But she has plenty of pursuits outside the kitchen. The family-oriented Lawson is heavily involved with charities that touch her and her family personally, and tries to be as involved as her busy schedule will permit. But juggling her family—husband Charles Saatchi, 13-year old Cosima and 11-year old Bruno; and career are Lawson’s first priority.
