During his two terms as Mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani established himself as a politician willing to take responsibility. And when he stepped up to the plate after 9/11, New Yorkers and Americans took notice. So did Time magazine, naming him Man of the Year in 2001, and Queen Elizabeth II who named him an honorary knight. Giuliani united his city in a time of crisis and became known as “America’s Mayor.” Today, as one of the leading contenders for the Republican Party’s 2008 nomination, he’s using that same determination to become America’s President. Giuliani wants to make the U.S. safer, more secure and a better place for future generations, the same vision he started out with for the city of New York many years ago.
