Liebe Geft left her successful career as a television broadcaster in 1998 to become the Director of the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles. The Museum, once a small room within the Simon Wiesenthal Center, is a bustling 165,000-square-foot complex located across the street from its former home. Geft, who was born in Zimbabwe, and grew up in a home where tolerance and respect were ‘lived’ rather than taught. Geft is so committed to the tolerance message that she regularly puts in 80-hour weeks at the Museum, where she has opened a host of exhibitions and innovative programs, attracting worldwide attention.
